Job Description

Kobeyaki is a fast casual Japanese restaurant looking for team members with a strong work ethic. If you are friendly, enthusiastic and hard working we may have an opportunity for you. If you have had experience as a cashier, line cook, prep cook, dishwasher or no experience at all, we may be able to give you the opportunity to advance in our growing company. We can offer full or part time positions for individuals who are comfortable in a fast paced environment. Major responsibilities include:

  • Learn and work at a variety of stations: Rolls, Bowls, Burgers, Prep, Expo and Cashier
  • Prepare lunch and/or dinners according to recipes and processes.
  • Complete food prep assignments accurately, neatly and timely.
  • Maintain proper portion control and monitor food levels.
  • Assure that all food handling, safety and sanitation procedures are maintained and monitored.
  • Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
  • Assist with the purchase and inventory of the food supply during day based on volume.
  • Provide consistent, quality customer service to each and every customer.
  • Become familiar with new menu items/dishes

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience preferred.
  • Be able to adapt to customer volume levels with a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
  • Be able to have a complete understanding of menu.
  • Should have a Food Service Sanitation Certificate
  • Have the ability to communicate in the primary language(s) of the restaurant location.
  • Have a caring, cheerful and helpful attitude toward our loyal customers.
